The workshop on a transformational life skills program which works toward physical, emotional, spiritual, social and economic empowerment of the youth, organized by the Art of living team, in association with MCKV Institute of Engineering, undergone for all first year students for a span of continuous 4 days in 3 different schedule. The primary objective of this workshop was to provide valuable insights and knowledge about life & self-development to our second semester students. The program featured discussions, complemented by activities. The workshop focused to improve the overall performance and confidence among the students. All the first year students of 8 different streams attended the workshop with full enthusiasm. It offered techniques, processes and practical tools through lively discussions, group activities, games and interactive sessions.
6th – 9th February, 19th – 22nd February & 12th – 15th March, 2024 were the dates of the workshop. In the first slot, the workshop held for two sessions at morning and afternoon catering 4 different streams. The rest two slots were restricted to morning half, to utilize the freshness of the mind of the students at morning time. From the response of the students, it seems they took the learned techniques back home, and expected that they will incorporate them in their daily lives, and as a result, experience a range of benefits for life. We hope with this workshop the students can stay calm, make better decisions & improve the overall quality of life.

MCKVIE shines bright at the Eastern India Science Fair 2024 organized by Birla Industrial and Technological Museum, a unit of National Council of Science Museum, Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India. In this Science Fair our STAR MCKVIANs – Suman Das, Rajarshi Chowdhury, and Prarthona Bandyopadhyay from Electronice & Communications Dept.(Final Year) bagged the 2nd Best Project Award and NCSM Scholarship by showcasing pathbreaking innovation in their project work. Their paper, “𝐒𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐥 𝐖𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐒𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 𝐃𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐇𝐨𝐦𝐞,” guided by Dr. Tamal Roy, Dr. Debopoma Kar Ray & Mr. Santanu Maity, showcased a realistic model tested in departmental faculty & classrooms, adding credibility to their proposal.

Relive the moments of new-age entrepreneurship with “BANIYA BUDDHI ! Hosted by The Startup Club at MCKVIE in collaboration with Institute Innovation Council (IIC).
